R-PE-conjugated immunoglobulin buffered in PBS (pH 7.2) with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) BSA.

Preparation and Storage

Preparation: The immunoglobulin is purified from tissue culture supernatant by Protein G affinity chromatography and is conjugated with R-PE under optimum conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated immunoglobulin.Storage: Store conjugate at 4° C and avoid prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.

Usage

This reagent is useful as an isotype control for direct immunofluorescence staining of non-human primate tissue for flow cytometric analysis using 20ml/106 cells. Since applications vary, however, each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results.

Caution

Sodium azide yields highly toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in plumbing.
