Clone - Description

Reacts with the third extracellular immunoglobulin-like domain common to three molecular weight forms (120, 140, and 180 kDa) of the neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM). The NCAM glycoprotein (CD56) is expressed on many different cell and tissue types including natural killer (NK) lymphocytes, a subset of T lymphocytes, interleukin-2 (IL-2)-activated thymocytes, and neural, neuroendocrine, and degenerating of diseased muscle tissue. This product is provided as low azide (0.01%). Applications include functional studies, immunoprecipitation, immunohistology, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)/radioimmunoassay (RIA). This product was originally a BD CAM Folio™ product that is now available from BD PharMingen.^1-11
