It is suitable for use in performing cell based assays. It can also be used as a protein standard, or in other research applications.This recombinant protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding the full length human NBL1 precursor (NP_005371.1), residues 1 to 180, fused to the Fc region of human IgG1 at the C-terminus.Activity: Measured by its ability to inhibit BMP4-induced activity in MC3T3-E1 mouse osteoblastic cells. The ED₅₀ for this effect is typically 0.2-1 µg/mlin the presence of 100 ng/mlof recombinant human BMP4.Formulation: Lyophilized in PBS, pH 7.4, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, and 0.02% Tween 80.Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 0.2 mg/ml or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
