In general, recombinant proteins can also be used as an immunogen, as a protein standard, or in cell biology research applications.This recombinant protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Gln 531) of influenza A virus, subtype H5N1 (A/bar-headed goose/Qinghai/14/2008), HA (ACL28277.1) fused to a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. The protein has its cleavage site mutated (RERRRKKR to TETR), therefore, the HA1 and HA2 subunits remain uncleaved.Activity: This recombinant protein has not been tested.Formulation: Lyophilized in 50 MM Tris,100 MM NaCl , pH 8.0.Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 0.2 mg/ml or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
