Dynabeads® Mouse CD8 beads are coated with a primary monoclonal antibody specific for the Lyt 2 membrane antigen mainly expressed on cytotoxic/suppressor subpopulation of mature T-cells of all common mouse strains. Dynabeads® Mouse CD8 binds to CD8⁺ cells during a short incubation period in a tube, after which the bead-bound cells are separated from unbound cells using a magnet. This fast and gentle isolation method does not require the use of columns, and helps ensure high purity, recovery and viability of the isolated CD8⁺ cells.Ideal for Both Depletion and Positive Isolation for Downstream Molecular Assays Because of the powerful magnets used for separation, Dynabeads® Mouse CD8 (Lyt 2) can be used in viscous samples such as single cell suspensions from tissue, whole blood and bone marrow, and enable efficient depletion of mouse CD8⁺ cells in about 30 minutes. Dynabeads® Mouse CD8 (Lyt 2) will also afford excellent recovery of high-purity, viable cells when used for positive isolation for downstream studies; for example, those in which cells are to be lysed while still attached to beads, and nucleic acids or proteins further purified. Note that intact cells will not be released from these beads, so if you want to isolate mouse CD8⁺ cells for cell-based applications, or you need to check your samples with flow cytometry, you should use Dynabeads® FlowComp Mouse CD8 Cells (for bead-free cells).
