It is suitable for use in analysis of protein structure, and performing cell based assays. It can also be used as an immunogen, as a protein standard, or in other research applications.This recombinant protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding the mouse KITL (P20826-1) (Met 1-Ala 189) fused to a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.Activity:1. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA . Immobilized mouse KITL at 2 µg/ml(100 µl/well) can bind mouse KIT with a linear ranger of 1.28-32 ng/ml. 2. Measured in a cell proliferation assay using TF-1 human erythroleukemic cells (Kitamura,T. et al. 1989, J. Cell Physiol. 140:323) . The EC₅₀ for this effect is typically 0.5-5 ng/ml.Formulation: Lyophilized in 20 mM Tris, 500 mM NaCl, pH 7.4, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, 0.02% Tween 80.Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 0.2 mg/ml or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
