Anti–HLA-DR recognizes a human class II major histocompatibility complex (MHC) antigen. The antigen is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of a and b subunits that have molecular weights of 36 and 27 kd, respectively. Anti–HLA-DR reacts with a nonpolymorphic HLA-DR epitope and does not cross-react with HLA-DQ or HLA-DP molecules.Anti-Monocyte PerCP-Cy5.5 reagent recognizes monocytes using two discrete specificities. This reagent includes CD14, a human monocyte/macrophage antigen, Mr 55 kd, that recognizes the majority of the monocyte population. In addition, Anti-Monocyte PerCP-Cy5.5 recognizes FcR1 (CD64) by taking advantage of the unique recognition of CD64 by cyanine dyes. Anti-Monocyte PerCP-Cy5.5 is specially formulated to take advantage of this property of the cyanine dye to ensure detection of all monocytes (CD14 brightly positive and weakly positive) in a sample.
