HLA-DR is expressed on B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, activated T lymphocytes, activated natural killer NK lymphocytes, and human progenitor cells. It is also present on thymic epithelium, B-lymphocyte–dependent areas of spleen and lymph node, and B-cell lymphomas.The CD13 antigen is expressed on peripheral blood neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils, and monocytes, but not on normal lymphoid cells, erythrocytes, and platelets. The CD13 antigen is expressed in the majority of subjects with acute myeloid leukemias (AML), and can be aberrantly expressed in cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
