View All» Clone: BH6-31G14 View All» Isotype: IgG1κ View All» Background Information: Nuclear DFB-2-related (NDR) kinases are a highly conserved, subclass of the AGC protein kinase group that are known to be regulated by Mps One Binding (MOB) binding partner through binding and subsequent activation. They can also be activated by phosphorylation to the hydrophobic motif at the C-terminal and the kinase domain activation loop. NDR kinases play an integral role as regulators in several cellular processes such as; cytokinesis, mitotic exit, centrosome duplication, cell growth, morphogenesis, and development. NDR1 and NDR2 are two serine-threonine kinases belonging to the NDR kinase family that share significant homology with each other. NDR1 autophosphorylation is induced by Ca2+ in addition to phosphorylation by an unknown upstream kinase. Both NDR1 and NDR2 are nearly ubiquitous in expression, with the exception of NDR1 not being observed in the brain. In contrast, NDR2 has highest expression in the thymus. Studies have suggested the NDR1 may be involved in tumor progression and NDR2 in either tumor initiation or progression.
