HDAC7 is a member of the class II histone deacetylase family, which deacetylate lysines on the core histones. HDAC7 also inhibits the expression of Nur77. During T cell receptor activation, HDAC7 is exported from the nucleus, leading to Nur77 expression and therefore facilitating apoptosis.
