The 293 Stable Cell Line has stably integrated the pGS-1 Receptor plasmid (cat. no. 21-208), a key component of the inducible expression system, into its genome. These 293 cells will facilitate the inducible expression of exogenous genes when used in conjunction with the pGS-2 Expressor plasmid. The end user can simply subclone their gene of interest into the pGS-2 plasmid and then transfect it into these stable 293 cells. Following transfection, GenoStat Ligand (cat. no. 20-333 or 20-382) is added to the culture media to turn 'on' expression of the subcloned gene. The pGS-Luciferase Plasmid is provided as an expression control that can be utilized in place of the pGS-2 plasmid to optimize expression conditions.
