CD302 is expressed on monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and granulocytes. It contains one carbohydrate binding domain in its extracellular region and can mediate antigen uptake. In human Hodgkin’s disease, a fusion protein containing portions of CD302 and the ECD of DEC-205 is expressed on Reed-Sternberg cells.
